Our History

Frequency Audio-Visual Services started installing sound systems in the Hospitality space in the year 2000 and we quickly discovered our strength was in finding unique solutions to complicated audio problems. Our clients had limited budgets, challenging acoustic spaces and aesthetic constraints. We started designing unconventional systems that utilized the latest technology and creative installation approaches, and soon we became a design leader in Chicago. As our client base expanded, so did their needs for complete audio-visual services. We added video products to our portfolio in 2004 and system integration in 2005.

Over the years, we have continued to push the envelope of Audio-Visual equipment types and installation techniques. We are an A+ rated member of the Better Business Bureau and our staff is trained and certified to install, program and service a wide variety of industry leading products and solutions.

Our Credo

What makes our Audio-Visual Systems so amazing is their simplicity. The systems themselves, however, aren’t necessarily very simple – the end user’s experience is. When we design a system, we don’t approach it from the perspective of a fixed project. We design from the perspective of “A System In Use”. It’s not important that the Designer or the Installer can operate the system, it’s important that ANY user can; right away, 6 months or 5 years down the line.

Can the manager or “in house” staff easily operate the equipment and troubleshoot problems or specialized uses? Can the system be easily and economically serviced, by any Audio-Visual Technician? Is the installed system not only aesthetically pleasing, but also user friendly? Can the system be expanded in the future, without adding significant additional construction costs? These are some of the questions we ask and answer before putting our name on a system.

It’s the little things, the things that seamlessly weave themselves into the fabric of your day, that truly do matter. When technology does not work, it’s noticeable. It interferes. But when technology is design and installed correctly, it’s virtually unnoticeable to its users. Frequency Audio-Visual Services always has this goal in mind when planning, executing and maintaining our audio-visual solutions. We design to be an essential and transparent part of the way you do business.

Our Future

Technology never stops inventing and improving, and neither do we. We were among the first to push for a reduction in required conduit sizing for A/V cables, drastically lowering construction costs related to Audio-Visual scopes. We aggressively design systems distributed over standard category cabling to further reduce construction costs and we create systems that are informed by the latest technology while still compatible with industry standards and legacy equipment.
